Job description

  • Participate in the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, test, and verification.
  • Support the planning and development of new programs, helping structure execution around appropriate lifecycle development methods.
  • Development and documentation of system specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and system architecture.
  • Assist in conducting trade studies and analyses to optimize system performance, risk, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including hardware and test engineers, to ensure successful system integration.
  • Support the development and execution of system-level test plans and procedures.
  • Analyze test data and identify root causes of system anomalies or failures.
  • Contribute to technical reviews and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM field
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs, * Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM field
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
  • Internships or co-op experience in aerospace, defense or propulsion.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo and/or requirements management tools such as DOORS.
  • Educational background or project experience in AI and/or Automation applied to engineering or systems development.

Benefits & conditions

Associate Systems Engineer: $65,800 to $98,800

Systems Engineer: $79,300 to $118,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
