Job description

We are seeking an experienced HIM Systems Analyst to support, maintain, and optimize hospital information systems, with a strong focus on Epic and other clinical/business applications. This individual will serve as the liaison between Information Systems and hospital departments, translating business needs into technical solutions while supporting application enhancements, system administration, troubleshooting, testing, and project execution., * Support, maintain, configure, and optimize Epic and other hospital information systems.

  • Gather business and technical requirements from end users and translate them into functional solutions.
  • Perform application configuration, system administration, testing, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and provide day-to-day production support.
  • Develop functional design specifications, system documentation, and user training materials.
  • Lead or support application implementation projects, upgrades, and workflow improvements.
  • Coordinate with software vendors on implementations, issue resolution, and system enhancements.
  • Consult with hospital departments to improve operational workflows and application utilization.
  • Provide project management support, including action plans, timelines, issue tracking, and status reporting.
  • Ensure supported applications meet organizational, regulatory, and patient care objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Healthcare Informatics, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred).
  • 6-8 years of experience in healthcare IT, information systems, or a related allied health field.
  • Experience supporting hospital information systems or electronic health records (EHR).
  • Epic certification preferred; candidates without certification will be sponsored and must obtain certification within 45 days of employment.
  • Strong understanding of application support, system configuration, troubleshooting, relational databases, client-server architecture, and LAN environments.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Epic certification sponsorship available for qualified candidates.
