By joining our Mission Solutions business, you will be a member of a team dedicated to providing innovative solutions that streamline the preparation and execution of intricate, mission-critical operations. We focus on enhancing situational awareness, tactical command and control, and seamless video data exchange capabilities within a dynamic, multi-domain environment. Job Description Ultra Mission Solutions is hiring mid-level Software Engineers to join the Mission Software team under the mentorship of one of our Solutions Architects, supporting high-demand programs and mission application development.
In this role, you will contribute to software development across the Mission Solutions portfolio, working alongside a senior Solutions Architect and leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate delivery. You will bring existing engineering experience to bear while continuing to grow toward a Solutions Architect track, taking ownership of features and supporting field and integration activities as needed.
Preferred locations: Austin, TX, Huntsville, AL, or Remote.
Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the year to support solution engineering in the field, support military exercises, and major integration events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 2-8 years of software engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability to deliver production software
- Curiosity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; active clearance preferred
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance
- Exposure to AI/ML tooling and modern development workflows
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Go, or similar languages
- Experience in edge compute, mission systems, or rugged platforms
- Interest in growing into a Solutions Architect role #IC
