Job description
Our client connects hobbyists, small businesses, and enthusiasts through a community-driven marketplace that supports buyers and sellers across a specialized interest category. The CORE Platform team is responsible for catalog and order systems, sharing data through Kafka messaging, processing pipelines, and REST APIs hosted in AWS. You will contribute to new architectures, evolve systems, and support internal tooling for catalog operations while collaborating with teams to deliver iterative improvements., * Design and implement backend services, including microservices, datastores, APIs, and event streams for listings, inventory, and price systems using C#, .NET Core, Docker, and Kubernetes in AWS.
- Ensure backend systems remain performant and scalable for growing data and load.
- Partner with internal teams integrating with backend systems and ship iterative improvements based on requirements and feedback.
- Decouple services from an existing monolithic application.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Experience with large-scale microservice application development and decomposing monoliths.
- Proficiency with C#.
- Working knowledge of at least one datastore technology across RDBMS (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
- Ability to decompose requirements into components that can be released rapidly with a ship-often mindset.
- Helpful experience, not required: Kafka, Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, REST, CI/CD.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Rate: $60.00 to $65.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
