Job description
Lead technical support for AMI applications including Meter Asset Management System (MAMS), ProField Encore (PFE), Meter Data Management System (MDMS), and Head End System (HES). Collaborate with vendors and business stakeholders to review release notes, coordinate upgrades, enhancements, and issue resolutions. Design subsystem architectures, end-to-end process flows, APIs, data models, use cases, and complete SDLC documentation. Develop and support in-house applications while assisting with implementation and maintenance of vendor solutions. Monitor application performance, license compliance, and production systems through enhanced monitoring and reporting. Conduct incident triage, root cause analysis, remediation, and recommend preventive actions using IT best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational excellence, system reliability, and monitoring capabilities. Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues, provide project updates, and engage vendors during status meetings. - Mentor team members, provide technical leadership, and contribute to organizational knowledge sharing and team development.
- Experience supporting Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) applications such as MAMS, MDMS, HES, or ProField Encore.
- Strong knowledge of system architecture, API development, SDLC methodologies, and enterprise application support.
- Experience troubleshooting production systems, performing root cause analysis, and implementing preventive solutions.
- Ability to work independently while leading technical initiatives across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination skills.
- Experience with IT operations, monitoring tools, process improvement, and cyber security compliance.
- Utility industry experience supporting smart metering or enterprise operational systems.
- Experience with application modernization, performance monitoring, and operational process optimization.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
