Job description

  • Evaluate and improve an existing enterprise application ecosystem
  • Collaborate with leadership to define architectural direction
  • Guide development best practices and coding standards
  • Support onboarding of new locations and systems integration
  • Introduce scalable, loosely coupled design patterns over time

  • 50% Hands-on engineering and system analysis
  • 25% Architectural planning and solution design
  • 25% Team collaboration and mentorship

Requirements

The right candidate will play a key role in stabilizing existing systems while introducing scalable architecture and best practices. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding complex systems before improving them and can balance hands-on engineering with strategic thinking. Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with .NET / C# and modern .NET Core
  • Experience designing and evolving application architecture
  • Background working with WinForms or desktop applications
  • Experience with Entity Framework and SQL Server
  • Familiarity with SSRS or similar reporting tools
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions and tradeoffs clearly
  • Experience mentoring or guiding developers

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude
  • Experience modernizing legacy or tightly coupled systems
  • Background in financial services, mortgage, or legal environments
  • Experience with OAuth or identity management solutions
  • Exposure to custom document generation systems
