Job description

We are seeking a Senior Windows Systems Engineer to build a next-generation observability platform. You will develop low-level monitoring agents and automate enterprise-wide telemetry collection. Your work will bridge the gap between deep Windows OS internals and modern cloud-native monitoring pipelines., * Agent Development: Build and maintain low-level monitoring agents using C# and Win32 APIs.

  • Telemetry Collection: Extract deep OS performance metrics using WMI, CIM, and ETW (Event Tracing for Windows).
  • PowerShell Automation: Architect high-throughput PowerShell (v5.1/v7+) scripts using runspaces and background jobs.
  • Data Integration: Expose legacy system metrics to modern API frameworks and cloud monitoring pipelines.
  • Advanced Reporting: Query large datasets using SQL/KQL to build automated dashboards and track error budgets.

Requirements

  • OS Internals: Deep understanding of Windows memory management, processes, and security architecture.
  • Languages: Strong proficiency in C# and expert-level scripting in advanced PowerShell.
  • Observability Tools: Experience with platforms like Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, or Azure Monitor.
  • API Development: Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs for data ingestion.
  • Data & Analytics: Solid skills in KQL (Kusto Query Language), SQL, or similar log-analytics languages.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline automation (GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps).
  • Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts like SLOs and SLAs.

Benefits & conditions

The hourly rate for this position is between $77.00-$87.00 per hour.
