Job description
The Sales Cloud Engineer - FordPro Tech Team is responsible for the design, configuration, development, and optimization of Salesforce Sales Cloud solutions supporting FordProâs commercial vehicle sales, fleet management, and dealer ecosystem operations.
This role partners closely with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, and Integration teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce capabilities that drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and data integrity across FordProâs global B2B sales channels.
The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce platform expertise with enterprise integration experience and strong DevOps discipline., * Platform Vision: Define and execute a technical roadmap for Salesforce that prioritizes scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
- Technical Debt Management: Balance the delivery of new features with the necessity of reducing technical debt and maintaining Salesforce âOrg Health.â
- Feasibility Analysis: Evaluate third-party AppExchange packages and native Salesforce features to determine the best âbuild vs. buyâ path., * Technical Requirements: Write detailed technical user stories, including API specifications, data mapping, and security requirements.
- Backlog Refinement: Lead grooming sessions to ensure the engineering team understands the âwhyâ and âhowâ of every story.
- Sprint Execution: Partner with Scrum Masters and Developers to remove technical blockers and ensure high-quality deployments., * Ecosystem Alignment: Oversee integrations between Salesforce and internal Ford systems (e.g., ERP, Data Lakes, Identity Management) using MuleSoft or other middleware.
- Data Integrity: Define data governance standards within Salesforce to ensure a âSingle Source of Truthâ for customer data.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all technical solutions meet Fordâs Cyber Security, Privacy, and Legal standards., * Translation: Translate complex technical constraints into business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Salesforce Partnership: Stay abreast of Salesforceâs three-times-a-year release cycle to proactively identify new features that can be leveraged.
- Collaboration: Work with Architects to ensure the CRM strategy aligns with the broader Enterprise Architecture.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical Proficiency?, * Education: Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 5+ years in Product Management or Technical Leadership, with at least 3 years specifically focused on the Salesforce platform.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of Salesforce capabilities (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL).
- Experience with APIs (REST/SOAP) and integration patterns.
- Proficiency in Jira/Confluence and Agile methodologies.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to use data (SQL, Tableau, or Salesforce Reports) to drive product decisions.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $115,000-$192,900.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidateâs skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
