We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality technical solutions while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment for our employees., IT Veterans is seeking a Systems Engineer to support multiple government programs focused on the fielding and sustainment of Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) networks. This position will support Department of Defense customers, including the Marine Corps and Navy, by assisting with the planning, design, implementation, sustainment, and troubleshooting of enterprise systems and virtualized environments., * Provide engineering and sustainment support for classified and unclassified systems environments.
- Support the planning, design, development, implementation, and optimization of multi-platform systems and infrastructure.
- Perform installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise systems and virtualization technologies.
- Provide on-call and touch labor support for systems sustainment activities.
- Support performance analysis, monitoring, and capacity planning efforts.
- Configure and support Active Directory, domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, PKI integration, and VMware environments.
- Install and configure servers, hypervisors, virtual appliances, and operating systems.
- Support system hardening efforts utilizing DoD STIGs and SCAP scanning tools.
- Collaborate with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Program Managers, and government stakeholders.
- Support both CONUS and OCONUS mission requirements as needed.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and provide status updates to leadership.
Requirements
Do you have experience in DoD experience?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, The ideal candidate will be a motivated technical professional with strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience supporting complex DoD infrastructure environments in both garrison and tactical settings., * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field from an accredited university.
- Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience supporting US Marine Corps garrison and tactical networks.
- Ability to work onsite in the Camp Lejeune, NC area.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting Windows and virtualization architectures.
- Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft and VMware environments.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI, VMware vSphere, and enterprise systems administration.
- Experience installing and configuring servers, Type 1 hypervisors, and virtual appliances.
- Experience performing DoD hardening activities using STIGs and SCAP tools.
- Experience with system performance monitoring, analysis, and optimization tools.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and VMware technologies.
- Industry certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VCP, VCAP, CISSP, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of DoD experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) environments.
