Functional Designer

Information Systems (IS) Life is responsible for delivering and maintaining systems supporting the Life Business Division. Within IS Life:

• Domain ELIA manages applications related to new contracts and contract modifications.
• Domain LISA manages contract portfolios, tariffs, reserves, claims, settlements, and premium processing.

The backend systems are primarily developed using COBOL Micro Focus with SQL databases.

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Functional Designer / Functional Analyst with strong collaboration and analytical skills.

The candidate will:

• Analyse high-level business requirements
• Design robust IT solutions
• Support implementation and testing activities
• Coordinate with Business, IS, and Testing teams
• Ensure platform stability and support production incidents

The role requires working autonomously while interacting closely with project managers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into structured IT solutions
• Design functional solutions covering:
• User interfaces
• Business logic
• Database architecture
• Coordinate implementation activities with technical teams
• Prepare and execute functional integration test cases
• Support product validation before delivery
• Review COBOL source code and write SQL queries when required
• Monitor and respond to production incidents
• Coordinate corrective actions and remediation activities
• Support project leaders throughout implementation
• Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure solution alignment

Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * 5-8 years of experience in:

• Functional Analysis
• Lead Functional Analysis
• IT Solution Design on large-scale projects

• Agile & Waterfall methodologies
• Architectural design exposure

Technical SkillsMandatory

• Experience in application development of administrative systems
