AI Solutions Engineer

AtWork is looking for a forward-thinking Software Developer / AI Solutions Engineer who is excited about modern development tools, artificial intelligence, automation, and building practical business solutions that create real operational impact.

This is not a traditional “sit in a cubicle and code tickets” developer role. We are looking for someone who embraces innovation, moves fast, learns constantly, and understands how today’s best developers leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve speed, quality, scalability, and creativity.

You’ll work directly with executive leadership and operational teams to help design and build internal platforms, automations, AI-enabled workflows, integrations, reporting tools, and business applications that support a growing national organization.

What You’ll Do

· Design and develop internal business applications and operational tools

· Build AI-enabled workflows and automation solutions

· Create integrations between platforms, APIs, and data systems

· Rapidly prototype new ideas and bring concepts into production

· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and automation

· Utilize modern AI development tools to increase development speed and quality

· Work cross-functionally with leadership, operations, marketing, sales, and support teams

· Help establish scalable development standards and best practices

· Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical business applications

· Contribute to long-term technology strategy and innovation initiatives

Do you have experience in SQL?, Technical Skills

Strong experience with modern web development

Experience with:

· TypeScript

· JavaScript

· Node.js

· React and/or Next.js

· Postgres

· Docker

Familiarity with:

· APIs and integrations

· SQL and data structures

· Git/version control

· Cloud platforms and serverless architecture

Understanding of software architecture and scalable design principles

AI & Automation Mindset

Enthusiasm for AI-assisted software development

Experience using tools such as:

· ChatGPT

· Claude

· Cursor

· GitHub Copilot

· Windsurf

· or similar AI-enabled development environments

Interest in workflow automation and operational efficiency

Curiosity around emerging AI technologies and practical implementation

Experience building AI agents or AI-powered applications

Experience with Python

Experience with automation platforms

Startup or entrepreneurial experience

Experience in staffing, HR tech, or operational software environments, You’ll have the ability to move quickly, experiment, build meaningful solutions, and directly influence the future direction of the organization.
