Data Quality & Governance Expert

• USP: Work hands-on on a company-wide program building and automating an internal data governance and data quality platform with visible impact across multiple domains

Your Role

You will join a strategic program covering data governance, data quality, and AI governance, with a strong focus on technical delivery. Your main mission is to help build, refine and operationalize the internal tool that captures governance and quality data, supports lineage and feeds dashboards and reporting.

In this role, you translate the needs of managers, technical specialists and business stakeholders into workable technical solutions. You will contribute to data model changes, testing, releases and ongoing improvements, while working closely with internal teams and the group IT provider.

Your Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the internal data governance and data quality tool
• Translate business and management needs into technical solutions and data model adjustments
• Automate data quality checks in Python
• Work on lineage visualization and the integration of data into database and storage layers
• Maintain technical templates and Excel/VBA-based interfaces within the setup
• Coordinate technical discussions, testing, releases, and migration topics with managers, consultants and the group IT provider
• Support acceptance testing and release cycles in a structured development, test, and production environment

• Strong hands-on experience in data management, data analysis, or data reporting
• Practical experience with data quality and automating quality controls
• Solid knowledge of data modeling and the ability to implement solutions technically
• Good knowledge of Python; ability to read SAS and preferably SQL
• French for daily collaboration; English is also important. Dutch is a plus

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in banking or financial services, ideally around payments, transactions, KYC, or KYT
• Experience with WebFocus reporting or dashboarding
• Knowledge of Excel/VBA in a data-platform context
• Exposure to HTML or JSON in a data-platform context
