Job description

This is a hands-on role as much as an architectural one: you will work on data modelling, ETL, process optimisation and automated runs, while collaborating closely with business users, program stakeholders and other data teams., * Translate business requests into data architecture and technical solutions

Design, develop and model data flows, including ETL and automated processing
Optimise existing processes and improve performance of data runs
Support AML-related data work, including scenario and reporting needs
Contribute to the SAS migration agenda and possible SAS-to-Python conversion
Work through a ticket-based intake process and collaborate directly with end users
Partner with analytics, visualisation, predictive and programme stakeholders in a flat, cross-functional team

Requirements

8+ years’ experience in data engineering
Proven experience setting up or designing data architecture
Strong hands-on background in data modelling, ETL and process optimisation
Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to translate business questions into technical answers
French and English is required for the working environment; Dutch is a strong plus

Nice-to-haves

Experience with AML, fraud or regulatory data work in a banking context
Exposure to SAS environments and migration work
Python experience, especially in a data engineering or migration context
Background in financial services, particularly around transactions, accounts or reporting
