C++ Software Engineer

• Develop high-performance real-time software applications using C/C++ on Linux.
• Design and implement Linux system software, including kernel device drivers and communication protocols.
• Contribute to software architecture and technical design across multiple product platforms.
• Develop monitoring, control and user interface applications.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust software solutions.
• Produce clear technical documentation and interface specifications.
• Represent the engineering team at technical meetings or industry events where required.

• Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent commercial experience).
• Strong commercial experience developing software in C/C++ on Linux.
• Experience building high-performance, multi-threaded real-time applications.
• POSIX threads
• Synchronisation mechanisms
• Shared memory
• Experience with high-speed data transfer technologies such as PCIe, DMA or DPDK would be advantageous.
• Exposure to modern web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular or similar frameworks is beneficial.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
