Job description

I’m currently working alongside a FinTech company in Lokeren that’s using AI to transform financial services. As an AI Engineer, you’ll develop and deploy machine learning and Generative AI solutions that enhance fraud detection, automate financial processes, improve risk assessment, and drive smarter decision-making.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning models for FinTech applications.
Build intelligent solutions for fraud detection, credit risk modelling, transaction monitoring, customer analytics, and financial forecasting.
Develop AI-powered applications using Machine Learning, Generative AI, and LLMs to automate financial workflows and improve decision-making.
Create scalable data pipelines to process structured and unstructured financial data from multiple sources.

Requirements

2-8 years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
Strong Python development skills.
Experience building and deploying production-grade machine learning systems.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, predictive modelling, recommendation systems, or time-series forecasting.
Experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and MLOps practices is desirable.
Previous experience within FinTech, Banking, Financial Services, Payments, or InsurTech is an advantage but not essential.
