Senior Python Backend Developer

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python, FastAPI, and Microservices architecture.
• Build, deploy, and support enterprise-grade APIs and distributed services.
• Develop event-driven applications and integrations using Kafka.
• Design technical solutions based on business requirements and prepare functional and technical specification documents.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy workloads on Kubernetes (AKS) using Helm.
• Write, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases to ensure application quality.
• Prepare deployment, cutover, and rollback plans while supporting post-production hyper-care activities.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and technical spike discussions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvements across applications and deployment processes.
• Contribute to technical discussions, architectural decisions, and development best practices., * Drive solution design, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release activities.
• Prepare deployment strategies, cut over plans, and provide hyper-care support after production releases.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues under tight deadlines.

• 10+ years of professional experience in Python application development and enterprise software engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python, FastAPI, and Microservices architecture.
• Solid experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud services with exposure to cloud-native application development.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and Helm.
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments using Jira and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, coding standards, and application lifecycle management.
• Experience preparing functional design documents and technical specifications.
