Job description

Overview Location: Hybrid in Malta or Remote from EuropeReporting to: Head of Back-end DevelopmentResponsibilities Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs in Go.Own the AWS infrastructure - from provisioning and deployment to monitoring and cost optimisation.Work closely with the Software Architect to align technical decisions with the long-term infrastructure vision.Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code that sets a high bar for the rest of the team.Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring system stability and uptime at scale.Contribute to code reviews and architectural discussions as an active voice in the engineering team.Qualifications 5 to 6 years of experience building production-grade backend systems in Go.Solid hands-on experience with AWS - EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, SQS, and CloudWatch.Strong grasp of distributed systems, REST API design, and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).Strong communication skills in English.Nice to Have Background in iGaming or Fintech.Knowledge of observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.Knowledge of PHPBenefits Be the technology owner and build something great from scratch!Make a tangible impact in a rapidly growing, global company.A culture that rewards ambition, innovation, and collaboration.If hired remotely, 28 days of time off and public holidays as per country of residency#J-*****-Ljbffr
