Job description

The Technical Support Engineer will serve as the technical owner for Utility-scale PV and BESS projects across the EU region. The role is responsible for technical troubleshooting, onsite commissioning, field support, service ticket ownership, and coordination with internal technical teams and external service partners to ensure timely issue resolution while meeting defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)., * Act as the primary technical owner for Utility PV and BESS products within the EU region.

  • Take end-to-end ownership of service tickets, ensuring timely resolution and successful closure.
  • Coordinate between customers, Level 1 Remote Technical Support, and internal expert teams to ensure accurate problem diagnosis, effective communication, and timely status updates throughout the ticket lifecycle.
  • Perform onsite troubleshooting, diagnostics, corrective maintenance, and technical support whenever remote resolution is not feasible.
  • Ensure all service activities and ticket handling comply with internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
  • Lead onsite commissioning activities and provide commissioning guidance for Utility PV and BESS projects across the EU region.
  • Own the preparation and delivery of field service reports, technical investigation reports, and root cause analysis (RCA) documentation.
  • Dispatch and coordinate external service partners for onsite interventions.
  • Deliver technical training, mentoring, and onsite guidance to service partners to continuously improve service quality and technical capability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing technical feedback to Product Management, R&D, and Quality teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience providing technical support for Utility-scale PV systems and/or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
  • Hands-on experience with onsite commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Utility renewable energy projects.
  • Experience supporting communication systems such as Data Loggers, SCADA, Modbus, Ethernet, Fiber Optics, or related industrial communication protocols.
  • Good understanding of medium-voltage (MV) and high-voltage (HV) electrical systems. Relevant MV/HV electrical authorization or certification is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with EHS requirements, electrical safety regulations, and onsite working procedures for Utility-scale projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills in an international environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the EU region (up to 75%).
