Job description

This role sits within the Technology & Digital organization for Disney Experiences and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams across the company. The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Sr Manager, Technology., We are seeking a talented Sr Software Engineer to drive and develop scalable and performing data and application integration through APIs and/or Data across Licensing Financial Systems and Artificial Intelligence Systems. This role will be instrumental in shaping the architecture, integration, and delivery of next-generation platforms that power financial licensing workflows and predictive analytics., * Lead the design, development, and deployment of data and application integration solution built using Mulesoft for licensing financial systems and AI-powered applications.

  • Own the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with product, business, and data science teams to define system requirements and deliver intelligent automation and integration.
  • Apply machine learning and AI techniques to optimize licensing workflows
  • Mentor junior or contracted engineers and foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and technical excellence.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in integration, AI, financial systems, and cloud-native development to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience, including development of data and application integration for complex and large-scale systems
  • Hands-on experience with API Gateways/API management (Google Apigee)
  • Excellent database skills in SQL and stored procedures and in optimizing large, complex SQL statements
  • Hands-on expertise in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and data pipelines.
  • Hands-on building and deploying LLM-based applications, including prompt engineering and fine-tuning
  • Experience with RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), vector databases, and embeddings
  • Excellent programming skills in languages Java and Python.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Agile development experience and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills., * Experience with licensing systems in media, entertainment, or digital content industries.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with integration software Mulesoft
  • Background in data engineering or applied AI in enterprise environments.

Education:

  • Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Master?s degree or certifications in AI, Data Science, or Financial Technology is a plus.

Benefits & conditions

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, California is $141,900 to $190,300 per year and in Orlando, FL is $135,200 to $181,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate?s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
