The Ship’s Construction Support Analyst role will be on a dynamic team, supporting Team Submarine In-service Program Office. Team Submarine’s Submarine COLUMBIA Class Program Office is responsible for: The construction of COLUMBIA Class submarines, financial and budget management, shipyard support of submarines, vendor support of submarines, logistical support, quality assurance (SUBSAFE), and post-delivery submarine certifications and test programs.

The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

Must be able to obtain/maintain/transfer a U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the government client in the ship’s system and component testing and evaluation execution and long-term analysis.
  • Assist in the development of various ship’s system and component test procedures.
  • Analyze span reduction strategies and build sequence optimization opportunities across the class.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for test and evaluation planning and scheduling, comparing ship’s build, key event and milestone timelines.
  • Perform research, compiling, and analyzing facts; and presents oral and written documents of compiled data for senior leadership use in responding to actions which require his/her personal attention
  • Develop data driven processes and standards for measuring KPI’s and capacity planning.
  • Track commitments and deliverables to ensure timeliness and first-time quality products for the government customer.
  • Other duties are specified by the government client.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • A Bachelor’s degree experience with 8 years of related experience.
  • or an Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience.
  • or a High School diploma/GED and 12 years of experience.
  • An advanced MS Office skillset to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Excel.
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment accepting emergent tasking with little to no supervision and/or direction.
  • Discretion in performing specified work requirements.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with a vast team of diverse professionals.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines, as well as work independently and with sufficient knowledge to present projects to senior management.
  • The ability to travel 25%.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Active-duty submarine experience with time in a shipyard performing various testing procedures.
  • NAVSEA experience supporting a program office.
  • Test and Evaluation experience in ship building or manufacturing.
