Job description

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Sr. DevOps Team Lead on behalf of our client in Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, or Detroit, MI. We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on DevOps leader to drive enterprise deployment, release management, and automation initiatives across cloud and enterprise platforms. This role will be responsible for leading DevOps teams, optimizing CI/CD processes, managing release operations, and implementing infrastructure automation to improve scalability, reliability, and software delivery performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in DevOps practices, cloud technologies, release governance, and team leadership., Lead and oversee enterprise-wide release and deployment activities across multiple technology platforms. Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient, reliable, and secure software delivery. Govern deployment processes, ensuring adherence to release standards, quality controls, and compliance requirements. Coordinate release schedules, environment management, rollback planning, and risk mitigation activities. Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using modern automation tools. Establish and enforce source control, branching, versioning, and release management best practices. Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, security, and business teams to streamline deployment processes. Drive continuous improvement through automation, process optimization, and operational excellence initiatives. Monitor system performance and deployment health while troubleshooting and resolving release-related issues. Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational standards. Mentor, coach, and lead a team of DevOps engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices. Ensure solutions align with organizational security, compliance, and governance requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related discipline. Proven experience leading and mentoring technical teams. Strong hands-on expertise with CI/CD tools and release management practices. Experience with Azure DevOps, including pipeline development, automation, artifact management, and deployment orchestration. Extensive experience with source control platforms such as Git, Azure Repos, GitHub, or Bitbucket. Strong understanding of branching strategies, version control, and software delivery best practices. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep. Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, or similar technologies. Experience with cloud platforms, deployment automation, environment management, and release governance. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in a STEM or business-related field. Experience with Salesforce deployment and release management methodologies. Exposure to MuleSoft integration platforms and deployment automation. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or AKS. Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Splunk, or ELK. Experience with secrets management, security automation, and compliance controls within CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, or similar change and release management platforms. Experience working in highly regulated or enterprise-scale environments.
