Job description
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of systems engineering activities, including OS technical support and systems programming
- Lead middleware installation, configuration, risk mitigation, performance tuning, and L3 production support
- Collaborate with application and testing teams, providing middleware advice, consultation, and support
- Create, maintain, and support application deployment templates
- Design middleware infrastructure and topology for high availability and failover capability
- Provide technical consultation to other team members and communicate with business partners
- Execute production changes for integrated and regulatory releases
Requirements
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience in Middleware Engineering
- Experience with one or more of the following Middleware products: IIS, .NET Framework, WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache, Spring Boot, JBoss
- Experience with release deployment tools such as Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, or BitBucket
- Understanding of Network infrastructure (HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, Load-balancers, firewalls, proxies)
- DEVOPS experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
Desired skills:
- 3+ years of experience as a Java/J2EE Middleware Engineer
- Experience with one or more of the following: Appian, Terraform, Software AG WEB METHODS
- Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
- Java/Container Framework experience
- Experience with a scripting language such as shell, python, powershell, jython, or perl
