Job description

Serve as the cloud infrastructure Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the enterprise Observability Program.

  • Lead AWS scorecard initiatives, including defining KPIs, collecting data, and preparing operational reports.
  • Support and implement monitoring and observability requirements for AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
  • Design and build cloud monitoring standards, dashboards, key metrics, and health indicators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ScienceLogic, Splunk, ServiceNow ITOM, Database, BI) to provide comprehensive visibility across cloud services.
  • Develop and maintain operational scorecards tracking availability, reliability, performance, capacity, security, and compliance.
  • Analyze and monitor cloud infrastructure health to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks.
  • Enhance automated discovery, monitoring, and alerting within enterprise observability platforms.
  • Promote and enforce cloud governance and operational best practices.
  • Participate in cloud-related troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.

Requirements

Requires 7+ years of cloud infrastructure/operations experience, 5+ years hands-on AWS experience, and 3+ years supporting GCP.

  • Must have strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, VPC, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, Route 53).
  • Demonstrate expertise in cloud observability, monitoring, performance reporting, and the use of enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Possess strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, scalability, and incident response.
  • Exhibit strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
