SAP BASIS Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP BASIS Specialist to provide advanced technical support, SAP system administration, troubleshooting, and architecture services across a complex enterprise SAP environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience administering SAP enterprise solutions across ECC, S/4HANA, BW/BI, CRM, BusinessObjects, Process Orchestration, BPC, HANA, C/4HANA, SAP BTP, SuccessFactors, Fiori/Gateway, Web Dispatcher, and Cloud Connector. The SAP BASIS Specialist will be responsible for maintaining a stable, scalable, secure, and reliable SAP ecosystem, including system installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, system refreshes, monitoring, performance optimization, disaster recovery, and production support., * Provide operational support for enterprise SAP environments.

• Lead primary SAP BASIS administration for major enterprise applications.
• Provide secondary BASIS administration support for other enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP system issues and serve as a primary technical point of contact.
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, security, networking, and operations teams to resolve outages and performance issues.
• Perform SAP system installations, upgrades, patches, backups, restorations, and maintenance.
• Coordinate and execute OS, application, database, and client-tool patching and migrations.
• Test patches and software updates in non-production environments before production deployment.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement required software patches.
• Configure SAP systems and applications in accordance with enterprise technical standards.
• Monitor system availability and ensure compliance with service-level requirements.
• Perform system sizing, capacity planning, and performance analysis.
• Act as a technical liaison with SAP vendors for defects, fixes, and maintenance activities.
• Provide regular status reports regarding system health, issues, risks, maintenance, and project progress.
• Interface with business users and application teams to provide technical support and troubleshooting.
• Install new application releases and perform version upgrades.
• Monitor and troubleshoot SAP hardware, operating systems, databases, applications, and supporting software.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive SAP BASIS documentation, procedures, architecture diagrams, inventories, backup policies, and user administration documentation.
• Support desktop-related activities and coordinate or provide technical training when required.
• Evaluate software and hardware solutions and provide technical recommendations.
• Automate repetitive administrative activities and improve SAP operational processes.
• Coordinate SAP application support with security, network, infrastructure, operations, and application development teams.
• Configure, maintain, and monitor SAP batch jobs and scripts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve batch job failures and scheduling issues.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation.
• Maintain and improve SAP fault-tolerance, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Provide 24/7 on-call and after-hours support as required.

• 5+ years of progressively responsible IT experience administering SAP BASIS environments.

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP enterprise solution administration, including:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience supporting SAP ABAP and Java systems.
• Expert-level experience using SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring and project documentation.

• Strong knowledge of SAP system refresh processes using native SAP tools and solutions such as:

• LAMA
• SAP PCA

• Experience administering SAP NetWeaver Java solutions, including:

• Adobe Document Services (ADS)
• Process Orchestration (PO)
• Web Dispatcher
• System Landscape Directory (SLD)

• Experience with SAP change management, including:

• CTS+
• Non-ABAP solutions
• Cloud solutions
• SAP BASIS administration experience in DB2/AIX and RHEL environments.
• Experience with SAP system performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning.
• Experience with SAP backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery environments.
