  • Own iOS testing strategy and infrastructure that empowers teams to maintain strong testing standards through intelligent automation, AI-enhanced testing tools, and quality gates that enforce best practices
  • Lead iOS platform modernization initiatives including Swift 6 migration strategy, adoption of Kotlin Multi Platform, and technical debt reduction while championing coding standards and architectural patterns
  • Optimize iOS build system infrastructure (Bazel) serving 40+ engineers through build time reduction, caching strategies, and developer productivity tools that guide engineers along the ā€œgolden pathā€
  • Establish and refine standards for iOS app performance, reliability, and monitoring (crash-free rates, launch times, runtime performance) while partnering with observability teams on iOS-specific infrastructure
  • Design and maintain high-quality internal iOS tools, CLIs, and APIs that improve developer productivity and operational efficiency through automation and intelligent tooling
  • Mentor iOS engineers on platform engineering best practices, collaborate with Android and Web platform teams on cross-platform opportunities, and partner with stakeholders to proactively identify platform needs, * High-impact role: Your work directly enables 40+ iOS engineers and shapes iOS development for the entire company
  • Technical leadership: Be THE iOS platform technical leader, driving strategy and architecture
  • Innovation opportunity: Lead cutting-edge initiatives like AI-powered testing, Swift 6 migration, and adoption of Kotlin Multi Platform
  • Collaborative environment: Work with talented iOS, Android, and Web engineers on cross-platform platform challenges, including integrating Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) for shared modules

Modern tech stack: Work with latest iOS technologies, modern build systems, and AI-enhanced development tools

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional iOS software development experience with significant focus on platform engineering, infrastructure, or tooling
  • Expert-level Swift proficiency and deep understanding of iOS SDK, frameworks, and platform evolution
  • Proven ability to design and build complex iOS platform systems that serve multiple teams and scale across an organization
  • Deep expertise in iOS testing frameworks and automation (XCTest, UI Testing, snapshot testing, test orchestration)
  • Strong experience with iOS build systems - Bazel strongly preferred; deep understanding of build optimization, dependency management, and modularization
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical decision-making and lead complex, multi-quarter platform initiatives
  • Track record of modernizing legacy iOS systems and successfully deprecating redundant infrastructure, * Experience owning iOS platform infrastructure at scale (build systems, test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, shared libraries) serving multiple teams
  • Experience with using cross platform development frameworks such as Kotlin Multi-Platform, React Native, and/or Flutter in a scaled environment
  • Deep knowledge of Bazel for iOS development, including BUILD file architecture, caching strategies, and remote execution
  • Expertise with modern iOS architecture patterns (SwiftUI, Combine, async/await, Swift Concurrency) and performance optimization tools (Instruments, Xcode diagnostics)
  • Ability to manage internal iOS platform as a product, treating iOS engineers as customers and building tools/frameworks successfully adopted by multiple teams
