Job description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineering Lead experienced in designing and implementing robust healthcare data platforms using Microsoft .NET stack, AWS services, and data integration solutions. The individual will spearhead cloud transitions, data warehouse modernization, and the adoption of AI-driven development practices. You will mentor multi-disciplinary teams, shape architectural strategy, and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders for seamless project delivery.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Architect and build scalable, secure, and maintainable healthcare applications using C#/.NET Core and AWS cloud technologies.
  • Oversee full lifecycle data migrations, including ETL pipelines, data warehouse transformation, and system integrations.
  • Modernize legacy data infrastructure and drive adoption of microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
  • Incorporate AI-enabled coding and code-review tools (such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor) to boost development productivity and quality.
  • Lead Agile teams, provide technical mentoring, enforce best engineering practices, and communicate with business/end-users for requirements and delivery visibility.
  • Ensure solutions comply with healthcare standards, data privacy (HIPAA), and regulatory requirements related to payer, pharmacy, and patient data.

Requirements

Expert proficiency in C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+, and backend software engineering.

  • Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL skills; solid knowledge in query optimization and relational data modeling.
  • Proven AWS experience (e.g., Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3, Step Functions) and integrating on-premise data systems with cloud platforms.
  • Strong Data Migration and ETL (preferably SSIS) project experience.
  • Hands-on with REST APIs and modern microservices design/deployment.
  • Integration with DevOps toolchains (Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools to enhance code development and reviews.
  • Prior work experience in healthcare/life sciences, particularly with payer data or patient access workflows.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with pharmacy benefit management, benefits verification, specialty pharmacy, or patient enrollment programs.
  • Exposure to Hub Services, copay assistance programs, or healthcare data interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, X12, etc.)
  • Certification in AWS, Microsoft .NET, or data engineering.
  • Prior roles in major healthcare or pharma firms.

Ideal Candidate Traits:

  • Proactive leader who drives technical innovation, coaches teams, and excels in fast-paced environments with minimal oversight.
  • Able to translate complex business challenges into sustainable cloud and data solutions.
  • Superior written and verbal communication; adept at cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
