Software Engineer

Were seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our API Platform team. This team plays a critical role in building secure, reliable, and intuitive APIs and SDKs that power robotics applications across industries from restaurants and hotels to warehouses and factories. By simplifying complex robotics systems, we enable both internal teams and external partners to scale and deploy next-gen automation effortlessly.

As a core member of this high-impact team, you’ll take ownership of the full API lifecycle from design and threat modeling to deployment and continuous improvement. Your work will help accelerate how quickly robotics innovations reach the real world.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and build robust REST and gRPC APIs in Go that surface real-time robotic capabilities and telemetry
• Develop cross-language SDKs (Go, Python, TypeScript) that make our APIs accessible, ergonomic, and idiomatic
• Improve service reliability with metrics, tracing, alerts, and participate in an on-call rotation
• Work closely with robotics, infrastructure, and product teams to translate low-level hardware functions into developer-friendly APIs
• Automate key workflows, from CI/CD and contract testing to one-click deployments
• Contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing through code reviews, design docs, and mentoring

• 5+ years of back-end software engineering experience, with a deep understanding of concurrency, networking, and system performance
• Proven experience building and maintaining APIs-REST, gRPC- with a strong grasp of versioning, idempotency, pagination, and backwards compatibility
• A passion for developer experience: writing clean client code, documentation, and practical tutorials
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) and observability tools
• Strong cross-functional communication skills you can balance technical design with user and product needs
• A bias for action: you thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and iterate based on data and feedback
• A collaborative mindset you value feedback, team growth, and inclusive problem-solving

• Have experience operating production services at scale
