Job description

  • Design, build, and maintain core backend services and APIs that power product features
  • Develop shared platform components used across frontend and backend applications
  • Build and improve data pipelines and integrations across the platform
  • Contribute to developer tooling, CI/CD, and automated testing that keeps services reliable
  • Partner with product and design to turn requirements into clear technical designs
  • Support gradual rollouts and feature flags to ship changes safely
  • Instrument services with logging, metrics, and telemetry for reliability
  • Document platform capabilities and APIs so teams can build with confidence

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and natural curiosity about how systems work end to end
  • Excellent collaboration skills - you’ll work closely with product and development
  • Attention to detail and systematic thinking
  • A love for turning requirements into well-defined, durable systems
  • Interest in finance and building efficient products that users love, * Proficiency in Python and SQL for building services and working with data
  • Understanding of web application architecture (frontend/backend request flow)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred), including containers and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with API design and building clear, well-structured endpoints
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture and telemetry patterns
  • Experience with collaborative git workflows (branching, pull requests, code review)
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly to product and non-technical collaborators
  • Interest in system design and writing clean, well-typed, tested, maintainable code
  • Preferred: Familiarity with React/TypeScript for frontend work, familiarity with feature flags for controlled rollouts, exposure to financial products

Education Preferred

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or equivalent experience, 2-4 years development experience with exposure to backend services, platform engineering, or data pipelines

Benefits & conditions

$130,000.00 - $140,000.00

This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography. Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
