The ideal candidate has extensive experience developing enterprise applications using technologies such as Python, Java, C++, and JavaScript, building analysis tools, integrating complex systems, and leading software development initiatives. This individual will contribute to software architecture, help drive the technical roadmap, and work closely with cross-functional engineering teams while mentoring junior developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable software applications supporting mission-critical operations.

  • Develop analysis tools and implement signal-processing algorithms to support advanced technical capabilities.

  • Integrate custom software solutions with existing government systems and enterprise platforms.

  • Contribute to software architecture, technical design, and long-term technology planning.

  • Manage the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from design through deployment and ongoing support.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and secure code while leading code reviews and promoting software development best practices.

  • Collaborate with front-end, back-end, and data engineering teams to deliver integrated software solutions.

  • Optimize application performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience serving in a technical leadership role, leading software development efforts, or mentoring engineering teams.

  • Strong experience developing applications using Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.

  • Experience using Git for source code management and version control.

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization technologies.

  • Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.

  • Strong understanding of secure software development principles and secure coding practices.

  • Experience developing applications for secure or highly regulated environments.

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community or Department of Defense programs.

  • Experience implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience designing and developing microservices and distributed systems.

  • Experience optimizing application performance and scalability.

  • Advanced cloud certifications or experience developing cloud-native applications.

  • Contributions to open-source software projects are a plus.

If you are an experienced software engineer with a passion for building secure, high-performance applications and leading technical teams in support of mission-critical operations, we encourage you to apply and learn more about this opportunity.
