Mid/Senior Full Stack Software Engineer - React/Javascript

We’re looking for engineers who are passionate about building exceptional software and enjoy solving technically challenging problems.

You’ll ideally have:

• 5+ years’ commercial software engineering experience.
• Strong experience developing applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Commercial backend development experience using Java.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and WebSockets.
• Experience working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Experience using Git and modern development practices.
• Python experience would be beneficial.
• An interest in financial markets or trading technology would be advantageous.

The Opportunity

This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented Mid-Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a highly regarded engineering team building the next generation of real-time trading applications. Unlike many Full Stack positions, this role has a strong emphasis on creating modern, intuitive user experiences, with approximately 70% of your time focused on Front End development and 30% on Back End engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and develop modern, responsive web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Build intuitive user interfaces capable of handling complex real-time data.
• Develop scalable backend services using Java.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and WebSocket services for live data streaming.
• Build high-performance applications capable of processing large volumes of real-time information.
• Work with relational databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and continuously improve software quality, performance and scalability.
• Collaborate within an Agile engineering environment focused on delivering high-quality software.
