Job description

Install, configure, and maintain data science platforms including Posit Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager
Manage Linux-based systems (patching, performance tuning, system optimization)
Support R and Python environments, including package and dependency management
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to data scientists and developers
Ensure system security and compliance (STIGs/SRGs, vulnerability scanning tools)
Monitor system performance, manage user access, and support backup/recovery processes

Requirements

5+ years of Linux system administration experience
Experience supporting R and/or Python environments
Experience managing applications in enterprise Linux environments
Knowledge of system security, patching, and compliance frameworks
Bachelor’s degree
Relevant certification (e.g., Security+, CASP+, CCSP, etc.), * Experience with Posit (RStudio) platforms - Workbench, Connect, Package Manager
Experience with Jupyter, VS Code, or similar IDEs
Exposure to Kubernetes or containerized environments
Experience with automation/scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible)
Familiarity with cloud or virtual environments (Azure, VMware, Hyper-V)
Knowledge of authentication systems (LDAP, Active Directory, SSO)
