Your area of work: The PTIT Operations & Governance department is mainly responsible for the provisioning CPU, disk, SAN and IT Operating Systems to the Core IT Operations applications.

The PaaS IaaS Unit team ensures the management of mainframe servers and supporting infrastructure including the z/OS and zVM operating systems as well (Capacity Planning, Disaster Recovery, Asset Management, etc.).

Your responsibilities:

Systems Administration activities include to implement, integrate and maintain hardware and software ensuring quality cost-effective services and to provide effective and efficient problem resolution in order to achieve the highest levels of availability, reliability and performance.

  • z/OS and 3rd party software installation and maintenance
  • Analyse system problems and resolution
  • Prepare and maintain documentation
  • Implementation of security controls (z/os RACF)
  • Comply with audit and security requirements
  • Operation includes on-call duty distributed among the team (an average of 1-2 shifts incl. on-call duty once per 5 weeks expected)
  • SAN disk & tape management. Storage management.

Your profile:

  • University degree in Computer Science (or equivalent through business experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with IBM zseries (mainframe) and/or relevant attached HW like SAN disks or tape library.
  • Mainframe skill background preferably on sysprog level (good knowledge in areas z/os, SMP/E, SMS, RACF, z/OSMF, ISV products)
  • Technical skills are essential to the position and will be validated through a technical interview.
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Initiative
  • A team player
  • Flexibility in work hours (24x7 means night and weekend installations and test operations)
  • Optionally linux or zlinux skills would be advantage.
