AI & Digital Transformation Manager

For our client, an internationally operating company in the energy technology sector, we are looking for an AI & Digital Transformation Manager (f/m/d) to join the team in Mülheim an der Ruhr as soon as possible.

In this role, you will drive digital transformation initiatives with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence and intelligent automation. You will lead cross-functional projects, identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation, and support the successful implementation of scalable digital solutions across Supplier Quality, Procurement, and other business functions., * Lead AI and digital transformation projects from concept development and business case creation through implementation and enterprise-wide scaling.

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities for Artificial Intelligence and intelligent automation across Supplier Quality, Procurement, and other business functions.
• Develop project roadmaps, business cases, KPIs, implementation plans, and resource strategies while managing timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
• Coordinate international, cross-functional project teams and collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT specialists, process owners, and external partners.
• Translate business requirements into practical, scalable digital solutions and support their successful implementation and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate, pilot, and implement modern technologies in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, AI Agents, intelligent automation, and data-driven process optimization.
• Support organizational change and promote the responsible, secure, and effective adoption of AI technologies across the business.

• Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in project management, digital transformation, automation, process optimization, or a comparable role within an international environment.
• Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects combined with strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Sound understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, AI Agents, workflow automation, and data-driven process optimization, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable digital solutions.
• Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, testing, or optimizing AI-driven and data-based solutions, ideally using technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, RPA, Python, SQL, and Snowflake.
• Excellent English communication skills, a structured and proactive working style, a collaborative mindset, strong analytical thinking, and willingness to travel internationally

This is a permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week) with an intended direct transfer to our client’s company., * A permanent employment contract providing long-term career security and stability.
