Job description
- Provide expert-level administration of RedHat Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Perform systems enhancement, configuration, maintenance, installation, and software upgrades.
- Lead a team of high-performing Linux administrators, providing guidance, technical expertise, and project leadership.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, sharing lessons learned and best practices.
- Maintain and manage the Enterprise Satellite server, ensuring it meets the organization’s software deployment and updates needs.
- Automate routine and complex tasks using Ansible, streamlining operations and improving efficiency.
- Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels, adhering to established policies, procedures, and service level agreements.
- Identify and address performance issues and optimize the production environment for mission-critical systems.
- Perform acceptance testing of modules, subsystems, and total systems.
- Responsible for software installation, configuration, and ensuring adherence to configuration guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Maintain documentation and records to demonstrate adherence to regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of Linux Systems Administration experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Current DoW 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start.
- One of the following Linux certifications prior to start: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), CompTIA Linux+, or LPIC-1
- Active Secret Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain Interim Secret eligibility prior to start (U.S. Citizenship required).
- Extensive experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite administration.
- Hands-on experience developing automation using Ansible.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical teams, users, and others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting High Performance Computing (HPC) or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting Department of War (DoW) or other federal government customers.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and enterprise storage solutions.
- Experience with scripting (Bash, Python, or similar) to automate system administration tasks.

Pay Range:Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
