Requirements

We are recruiting for a SC Cleared C/C++ Embedded Software Engineer for a leading Defence & Space organisation based in Portsmouth, this is a Hybrid role with 3 days a week on site, 2 days WFH. Due to security restrictions you must have valid SC Clearance and be a British .

  • Use your skills and knowledge to prototype innovative wireless solutions \n

  • You will be primarily developing using C/C++ on Embedded platforms \n

  • Development of Embedded software/firmware prototypes in an agile environment \n

  • Further development of proven prototypes to a deployment standard \n

  • Development of software in a Real Time Embedded environment using Linux. (eg Microblaze or RISC-V using C/C++) \n

  • Experience of working with and configuring Embedded Linux systems with tools such as Buildroot and Yocto \n

  • Experience of working with Uboot, Kernel config and device trees \n

  • Building and deploying Embedded Linux systems in an offline environment \n

Skill Set

\n \n

  • Experience programming Embedded Systems using C/C++ \n

  • Experience of bare-metal and Embedded Linux environments \n

  • Experience of linux device drivers including DMA, Interrupts, and Device Trees \n

  • Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing \n

  • Knowledge of Software Defined Radio \n

This is a Umbrella contract, the role is Inside IR35
