Job description

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team in developing cutting-edge geospatial analysis, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and visualization solutions leveraging ArcGIS Enterprise. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and performant geospatial services that integrate with ArcGIS Enterprise and associated databases. Your work will contribute to enhancing the capabilities of our geospatial data processing and visualization tools, enabling better decision-making for mission-critical applications. You will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance geospatial services with a strong emphasis on ArcGIS Enterprise functionality.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust and scalable geospatial software solutions.

  • Leading the technical design and implementation of ArcGIS Enterprise features, ensuring alignment with overall architecture and mission objectives.

  • Working closely with product managers and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical expertise during the planning and execution of geospatial projects.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. In lieu of technical degree, 4 years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity will be accepted.

  • Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Microsoft .NET, C++, C, SQL, Java, Python, or C#.

  • Experience with cloud-based development and deployment

  • Experience working with a source version control system, such as Git

  • Solid understanding of database design and optimization for geospatial data.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Leadership experience in guiding and mentoring development teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with AWS

  • Experience with Node.JS

  • Experience with JavaScript

  • Knowledge of Esri products or similar GIS or spatial software

  • Experience working with near real time data feeds/flows

The estimated salary range for this position is between $110,000-$155,000 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company’s comprehensive compensation package.
