Job description
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, improve, and maintain the core package set which supports software distribution throughout Anduril. This involves creating internal tooling, establishing standards, planning architectural changes, and supporting users of the package set. You are expected to provide expertise for the usage of Nix at a large scale and assist in training other engineers. You should be capable of operating autonomously with limited oversight in a complex environment, and have the ability to break down intricate problems into simple solutions., To ensure your safety and help you navigate your job search with confidence, please keep the following critical points in mind:

Requirements
- Proficiency with Nix, Nixpkgs, NixOS, and functional programming generally
- Deep understanding of how build systems and packaging ecosystems work
- Ability to dive into large and complicated systems, and use Nix to improve them
- Experience with one or more of the following languages: Rust, C++, Go, Python, Haskell
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance, * Experience with managing cloud computing resources (eg: AWS)
- Experience with modern build and deployment tooling, and continuous integration (e.g. NixOS, Terraform)
- Experience designing complex software systems, and iterating upon designs via a technical design review process
- Familiarity with industry standard monitoring, logging, and data management tools and best practices
- A bias towards rapid delivery and iteration
