Job description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Application Developer to support a company focused on delivering mission-critical technology solutions for government and defense initiatives. This position is on-site at Herndon, VA. The Application Developer will design, develop, and maintain software applications while ensuring compliance with established development standards and mission requirements. Join a team supporting high-impact systems that directly contribute to national security objectives., * Develop and maintain applications using established standards, processes, and tools across the full software development lifecycle
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional and efficient software solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, ensuring optimal system performance
- Document program development, enhancements, and system capabilities
- Support integration of COTS/FOSS solutions and ensure adherence to software standards
Requirements
- 2-6+ years of relevant software development experience
- Proficiency in Java development and working with XML
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support multiple operating systems (Linux/Windows)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Active Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance
Benefits & conditions
- Salary Range: $200,000-$250,000 depending on experience
- Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick leave as required by law
