About the company

Wall of Cyber Ltd is a growing, ethical IT Managed Service Provider working primarily with schools and charities, as well as other community-focused organisations. We believe IT support should be friendly, secure, patient, and genuinely helpful. We are building our business around strong values, people-first service, and long-term relationships.

We are looking for a 1st / 2nd Line Field IT Consultant to join us at an exciting stage of growth. This role may be a fantastic entry-level opportunity for the right person with the right work ethic, attitude, and willingness to learn. We are far more interested in how you learn, communicate, and approach problems than in a long list of certifications. The ideal candidate is a keen and quick systems learner who can pick up new environments rapidly. You will support users on site and remotely, working independently when appropriate while understanding when and how to escalate issues. Patience, empathy, and a calm, positive approach are essential, as you will work with users of varying technical confidence, including young adults, people with disabilities, and individuals with additional needs such as SEND.

Why Join Wall of Cyber? This role is worked during UK school term time only (39 weeks a year) and does not require working during school holidays, supporting a genuine and sustainable work-life balance. You will work directly with the business owner and gain exposure to real-world decision making within a growing MSP. Mileage expenses are paid in line with field engineer requirements for travel beyond standard commuting distances. There will also be opportunities to attend business meetings, networking events, supplier events, and industry sessions. We are committed to building a positive, inclusive, open-door culture and a happy workplace alongside delivering a brilliant service. Future Flexibility and Growth This role is currently structured for working 5 days per week during term time only. As Wall of Cyber continues to grow, there may be an opportunity in the future to increase working days or hours should this suit both the needs of the business and the individual. Any increase in hours would be entirely optional and discussed collaboratively, with no expectation for the role to move beyond its current part-time structure.
