Job description

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Power Platform & Power BI Consultant to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a remote role with occasional travel to Manchester or London., * Design, develop and implement solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages and Dataverse

  • Gather and analyse business requirements through workshops and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop interactive dashboards, reports and visualisations using Power BI.
  • Create automated workflows and process improvements using Power Automate.
  • Advise clients on Power Platform best practice, governance and adoption.
  • Support solution architecture and technical design activities.
  • Work collaboratively with client stakeholders, business analysts, architects and technical teams.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable and aligned with Government standards.
  • Produce high-quality documentation including designs, user guides and deployment documentation.
  • Contribute to business development activities, client presentations and proposal responses where required.

Requirements

We are seeking a Consultant with strong expertise in Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI to support the delivery of digital transformation and data-driven solutions across UK Government clients.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of designing, developing and implementing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform stack, alongside strong Power BI reporting and analytics experience. Due to the nature of upcoming engagements, candidates must hold active SC Clearance and have delivered projects within a UK Government department or agency within the last 12 months.

This role requires a blend of technical delivery capability, stakeholder engagement skills and consulting experience, working closely with client teams to understand business challenges and translate requirements into scalable solutions., * Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform.

  • Experience developing Model-Driven Apps and Canvas Apps.
  • Strong knowledge of Power Automate and workflow automation.
  • Experience working with Dataverse and associated data modelling.
  • Understanding of Power Platform governance, security and licensing.
  • Extensive experience designing and delivering Power BI solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
  • Experience creating executive-level dashboards and management reporting.
  • Ability to connect and integrate multiple data sources.
