Field Application Engineer - Strategic Account (Remote)

Are you passionate about helping customers solve complex engineering challenges and influencing next-generation technology roadmaps? Molex is seeking a dynamic and proactive Field Application Engineer (m/f/d) - Strategic Account based in France to support one of our European Strategic Accounts.

The Field Application Engineer will lead technical engagement, remove engineering barriers, promote Molex solutions, and create new demand across the customer’s development roadmap. While electrification and data centre infrastructure represent important growth areas, the role will support a broad range of customer applications where Molex can create value. Success in this position will be measured through demand creation, design wins, pipeline development, and profitable growth.

Our Team

This role combines strong technical application engineering with dedicated account responsibility, acting as a trusted technical partner to customer engineering teams while working closely with Sales, Product Management, Business Units, and the Worldwide Account Manager.

What You Will Do

• Serve as the dedicated Field Application Engineer for a European Strategic Account, supporting customer engineering teams in France and across relevant European development sites.
• Drive technical demand creation by identifying new application opportunities, influencing design decisions, and promoting Molex connectivity, power distribution, and infrastructure solutions.
• Build differentiated technical relationships with customer engineering, R&D, and system architecture stakeholders.
• Work closely with Product Management teams and the Worldwide Account Manager to translate customer needs into actionable growth plans and account strategies.
• Resolve technical and engineering barriers during design-in, development, and qualification phases across power, industrial, connectivity, and other relevant customer applications.
• Identify opportunities in electrification, power distribution systems, and data centre infrastructure while developing demand across additional strategic customer programs.
• Develop, qualify, and manage a robust Salesforce pipeline of design-in opportunities that supports profitable year-over-year growth.
• Provide customer insights, competitive intelligence, and application feedback to Product Management, Business Units, Advanced Development, and Sales teams.
• Collaborate with other Molex FAEs and internal technical experts to share knowledge, align solutions, and accelerate customer success.

• Experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in field application engineering, technical sales, product engineering, or customer-facing engineering within electronics, interconnect, electrification, power distribution, industrial automation, or related industrial markets.
• Ability to engage directly with customer engineering teams to understand applications, solve technical challenges, and influence design decisions.
• Experience collaborating across sales, engineering, product management, and global account teams while managing multiple priorities.
• Commercial understanding of demand creation, design wins, opportunity conversion, and profitable growth.
• Fluent communication skills in French and English.
• Willingness to travel approximately 60%.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience within the electronics industry and/or manufacturing sector.
• Experience supporting applications within data centre infrastructure, electrification, power distribution, critical power, or industrial automation environments.
• Experience using Salesforce and SAP.
• Additional European language capabilities.
