Job description

The Group Facilitator provides in-person group facilitation and clinical support for clients enrolled in the program’s PHP and IOP levels of care. This position serves as a key therapeutic presence within the program by leading structured group sessions, promoting engagement and connection among participants, and maintaining clinical excellence in every session., * Facilitate engaging, clinically structured group sessions for PHP and IOP clients with mental health and/or substance use disorder diagnoses.

  • Deliver evidence-based group content aligned with cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care principles.
  • Promote therapeutic engagement, healthy group dynamics, accountability, and peer support.
  • Accurately document group sessions, attendance, client participation, and relevant clinical observations in the Electronic Health Record within required program timelines.
  • Collaborate with the clinical and medical teams, including therapists, psychiatrists, medical providers, and case managers, to support coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Observe and promptly report clinical, behavioral, medical, or safety concerns to the appropriate members of the treatment team.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of a safe, confidential, respectful, and recovery-focused treatment environment.
  • Maintain current knowledge of clinical best practices, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, professional ethics, and applicable state regulations.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, supervision, staff training, and ongoing professional development.
  • Follow organizational policies, clinical protocols, documentation standards, and applicable accreditation requirements.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field, or an applicable national certification.
  • Active, unrestricted Wisconsin license or credential appropriate to the services provided.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with ASAM criteria, the DSM-5-TR, and trauma-informed care.
  • Strong group facilitation, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish appropriate therapeutic boundaries and maintain a professional treatment environment.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Record documentation systems, such as KIPU or a comparable platform.
  • Experience working in PHP, IOP, residential treatment, or another structured mental health or substance use treatment setting is strongly preferred.

Benefits & conditions

Compensation is paid at a flat rate of $30 - $50 per session, depending on experience, qualifications, and credentials. The session rate includes group facilitation and completion of all required group notes and documentation., Job Types: Part-time, Contract
