Job description

Their multidisciplinary Data Science and Machine Learning team sits right at the heart of that, driving real innovation for clients who need it most. This is a team that combines sharp technical expertise with serious domain knowledge, working in an agile, collaborative environment where cutting-edge AI and data science techniques are applied to complex, real-world problems every single day. To hit the ground running here, you’ll need proven experience gathering and validating requirements for data and AI products, conducting feasibility and options analyses, and identifying the best delivery methods for data science capabilities. You should be, comfortable working with both technical and, · Identify, analyse, prioritise and validate business and user requirements for data and AI products.

· Conduct options analyses, feasibility assessments and value estimations to support business case development.

· Apply data science, machine learning and AI techniques creatively to solve complex client problems.

· Participate in all project lifecycle phases, from capturing user needs and prototyping through to live service management.

· Own client stakeholder relationships and take responsibility for high-quality delivery of project outputs.

· Shape new propositions and support the team in winning new work.

· Develop deep sector knowledge of Defence and Security to ensure AI solutions land successfully.

· Support continual team development, including mentoring colleagues and contributing to practice growth.

Requirements

· Ability to identify and compare delivery methods for data and data science capabilities.

· Hands-on experience applying data science or machine learning in Defence, Security, public sector or academia.

· Strong communication skills - able to prepare clear reports and present complex issues to diverse audiences.

· Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders effectively.

· Experience contributing to practice development, including bid support and new proposition development.

· Active UK Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

· Ability to work with limited direction to deliver defined project outputs independently.

· Understanding of how to apply data science techniques for structured data analysis.

· Knowledge of mathematics, statistics and probability as applied to data science problems.

· Experience with data visualisation tools and creating dashboards or reports for stakeholders.

· Knowledge of the machine learning lifecycle from prototyping through to enterprise-scale deployment.

· Understanding of ethical and responsible AI principles, with experience applying them in practice.
