- Receiving, unpacking and inspecting IT equipment
- Logging and tracking assets accurately
- Diagnosing hardware faults and carrying out basic repairs
- Replacing components such as RAM, SSDs/HDDs, batteries, keyboards, fans and screens
- Carrying out data wiping and device imaging processes
- Applying labels, asset tags and vinyl wraps where required
- Conducting quality checks to ensure devices meet refurbishment standards
- Packing and preparing refurbished equipment for dispatch
- Sorting recyclable and non-viable components for disposal in line with company procedures
- Maintaining accurate records using internal systems
Requirements
Bridgestaff Group are currently recruiting for an IT Refurbishment Operatives to join a busy and expanding operation in Ystrad Mynach. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, good technical aptitude, and an interest in IT hardware refurbishment.
Working as part of the production team, you will help restore laptops, PCs, and other IT equipment for redeployment, resale, recycling, and reuse., * Good organisational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work to targets and deadlines
- Comfortable working with computers and technology
- Ability to follow processes and procedures accurately
- Previous experience repairing, building or refurbishing PCs and laptops is advantageous but not essential
- Experience with hardware diagnostics, imaging software or IT asset management systems would be beneficial
- Successful candidates must be able to pass a DBS/CRB check
Benefits & conditions
- £12.80 per hour
- Weekly pay
- Monday to Friday working hours
- No weekend work
- Ongoing temporary assignment
