Job description

The Munich Re Global Real Estate and Services division sets the direction for the management of all aspects of corporate real estate and employee services across regions for Munich Re offices worldwide. Within this division, Global Corporate Security is responsible for the protection of employees, sites, and assets worldwide. The department works closely with integrated risk management, business units, and regional Real Estate and Services organizations to develop and implement risk-based measures and procedures and to monitor their effectiveness.

Your Job

  • Develop and drive initiatives to effectively deploy security technologies across Munich Re locations, including business case evaluation
  • Align local setups with global standards for access control, CCTV, and lock management
  • Manage and continuously develop access control systems, including IT profiles and administration
  • Collaborate closely with IT, Real Estate & Services, and corporate functions to define requirements and success factors for technology solutions
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and completeness across security-relevant systems and databases
  • Lead automation initiatives and support the integration of AI into security processes
  • Monitor system performance and initiate maintenance, upgrades, and renewals of security technologies
  • Create reports and dashboards to track compliance, security performance, and data integrity
  • Support global projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes and concepts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Data Science, Security Management, or comparable vocational training (e.g. IT or security technology apprenticeship)
  • Initial professional experience in data management, IT support, or security operations
  • Solid experience with data tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Power BI) and MS Office
  • Experience with access management systems; knowledge of APIs (REST, JSON) and automation (e.g. Python) is a plus
  • Familiarity with data analytics methods and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured problem-solving approach
  • Very good communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluent German and strong English skills, both written and spoken
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across IT, HR, and security functions
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a structured and reliable manner
