AI Engineer

We are seeking a flexible and driven Data Scientist/AI Engineer to prototype, develop, and scale impactful AI solutions. This hands-on role involves close collaboration with data scientists and cross-functional teams across the AI workflow-from exploration and model development to deploying generative AI and machine learning pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong Python skills, experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow), and a background in training or fine-tuning models including LLMs. Familiarity with technologies like RAG, vector databases (e.g., Qdrant), and MLOps tools (e.g., DVC) is highly valued. A strong understanding of responsible AI practices and a passion for experimentation and continuous learning are essential., * Design, prototype and implement AI models in collaboration with diverse teams.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers and domain experts to align solutions with real-world needs.
• Ensure that AI solutions are responsible, ethical and align with governance standards.
• Stay informed on developments in AI and ML, particularly around generative AI, and evaluate their applicability within the organisation.
• Contribute to a culture of curiosity, experimentation and continuous learning within the team.

You will have the following skills or proven experience:

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with AI/ML libraries (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace Transformers)
• Experience training and/or fine-tuning machine learning models, ideally including LLMs or other deep learning architectures.
• Able to work collaboratively with Data Scientists, engineers and stakeholders in an agile environment.
• Experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) or vector databases (e.g. Qdrant.)
• Exposure to MLOps practices and tools (e.g. DVC)
• Understanding of AI ethics, bias mitigation and responsible ML practices.
