Job description

We are seeking a skilled NetOps Specialist to provide advanced network support and serve as an escalation point for complex networking issues. This role works closely with clients, ISPs, vendors, and internal teams to ensure network reliability, security, and performance.

This is a hybrid position requiring both office-based work and travel to customer sites for troubleshooting, installations, upgrades, and project support.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network issues.
  • Support LAN/WAN, wireless networks, VPNs, firewalls, and ISP services.
  • Manage and monitor network environments using:
  • UniFi
  • Omada
  • Cisco Meraki
  • Utilize tools such as Datto DNA, Wireshark, Nmap, FortiGate, SonicWall, and Sophos.
  • Manage tickets and documentation using Autotask.
  • Coordinate with vendors and ISPs to resolve service issues.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed for support and implementation projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field, or 2-4 years of equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of technical support or network operations experience.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Experience with network management dashboards and security platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Planner.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred

  • Experience with managed and non-managed firewalls and routers.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices.
  • Experience working directly with vendors and Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
