Job description

Rensair is a high-growth climate technology company transforming commercial buildings through sustainable indoor air quality (IAQ) and HVAC optimization. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career data professional to play a key role in supporting Rensair’s U.S. growth by transforming complex operational and engineering data into actionable business insights. Reporting to the U.S. leadership team and collaborating closely with engineering, sales, and R&D teams, the Data Analyst will support data-driven decision making by collecting, validating, analyzing, and visualizing HVAC and operational performance data while helping develop AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency and business performance., * Collect, validate, organize, and analyze HVAC operational data from multiple internal and external sources to identify trends, performance insights, and opportunities for operational improvement

  • Support engineering teams by entering HVAC survey data, equipment specifications, ventilation system information, and energy performance metrics while ensuring data accuracy and completeness
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using business intelligence tools to communicate key performance indicators and business insights
  • Partner with engineering, sales, operations, and leadership teams to translate business questions into analytical solutions that support strategic decision making
  • Support forecasting, performance measurement, and ongoing tracking of operational and business metrics
  • Assist in developing and implementing AI-enabled tools, workflow automations, and prompt engineering initiatives to improve productivity and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve missing, inconsistent, or incomplete data and ensure high-quality reporting
  • Prepare analytical reports, presentations, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Collaborate with Rensair’s international engineering and R&D teams to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and future analytical solutions
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve data management processes, reporting accuracy, and business intelligence capabilities
  • Travel to customer sites and company offices as needed (approximately 10%)

Requirements

This position is ideal for a recent college graduate or professional with up to two years of experience who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and supporting innovative technology solutions. The ideal candidate will be based in the Philadelphia region with the ability to work in a hybrid capacity from our Philadelphia office. This role requires approximately 10% travel to support customer engagements and internal collaboration., * Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field required

  • 0-2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, accounting, finance, or a similar analytical role; internship experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience collecting, validating, managing, and interpreting data with a high degree of accuracy
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, and reporting; experience with business intelligence tools is a plus
  • Exposure to AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or similar technologies, with an interest in applying AI to improve business processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Experience or exposure to commercial real estate, facility management, HVAC, energy management, or other technical industries is preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and travel approximately 10%, * Bachelor’s (Required)
