Job description

  • Works on a small team of engineers supporting the business measurement strategy and implementation
  • Mentoring engineering leaders and program personnel on measurement and cost estimation techniques
  • Aggregation and analysis of organizational data to identify trends and needs for improvements
  • Validation of program basis of estimates and historical data selectionRepresents Software Engineering considerations in broader organizational measurement activities
  • Candidates should be able to communicate recommended approaches, constraints and rational for strategy development and implementation for metrics and cost estimation; including presentations to senior leadership

Requirements

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required., * Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) a minimum 8 years of prior engineering experience

  • Experience with performance measurement, analysis, and data aggregation
  • Experience with data visualization and presentation techniques
  • Experience with project or engineering cost estimation
  • Experience working effectively across multiple levels and functions in an organization undefined
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required after Day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in Business Analytics / Data Science, particularly using GenAI
  • Knowledge of the various Raytheon Business Measurement Systems
  • Experience with PowerBI, Grafana, or other metrics visualization tools
  • RTX CORE Expert or Professional

Benefits & conditions

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

The Raytheon Software Team is seeking someone interested in making a difference at Raytheon through all aspects of software engineering measurement and cost estimation activities. The Principal Software Metrics Lead will partner with Software Centers, Engineering Excellence, and programs to enable efficient software development execution, predictability, and continuous improvement.

Core responsibilities include development, deployment, and maintenance of discipline metrics, processes, templates, and measurement and estimation tools, along with collaboration with other engineering and discipline leaders on measurement projects and initiatives More specifically, the Measurement and Cost Estimation Lead responsibilities

Note This position will be filled onsite at any of the RTX Facilities in McKinney, TX, Aurora, CO, Tewksbury, MA & Tucson, AZ
