Job description

Network Operations Center (NOC) Support Engineers oversee the configuration, installation, and monitoring of all critical elements of Ainsworth’s server-based gaming and progressive systems. This role requires advanced knowledge in the configuration of hardware, software, network, and storage solutions., * Infrastructure Management: Assembles server and progressive hardware (installation of memory, CPU, hard drives). Installs, configures, and maintains Windows Server environments, Microsoft SQL databases, and network architecture including switches and firewalls.

  • Technical Support: Identifies, analyzes, and documents defects, field concerns, and performance errors. Reproduces field issues in test/lab environments to identify root causes and provides on-call 24/7 support when designated.
  • Deployment & Documentation: Assists with the setup, testing, and deployment of new technology solutions and identifies process improvement initiatives. Creates and maintains documentation related to processes, procedures, and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Network Operation & Security, IT, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 2 years related work experience.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Advanced Windows Server administration, Active Directory, virtualization.
  • Basic PowerShell understanding.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting: Primary work involves monitoring systems and scripting from a workstation.
  • Keyboarding: Essential for server administration and coding.
  • Lifting/Carrying: Required when assembling server hardware weighing 26 up to 50 lbs.
  • Decision Making: Involves critical decisions regarding live server environments.

Additional Requirements

  • The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada gaming registration.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
